One of the UK’s most successful female music ambassadors, Debbie Wiseman is a highly sought-after composer and conductor, awarded the OBE in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to the music industry. With more than 200 credits, she has produced award-winning film and TV scores—including Wolf Hall, Wilde and Father Brown—as well as chart-topping albums. Debbie is currently Classic FM’s Composer in Residence and composed the signature music for Viking, which premiered on Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall in 2017.  

Additionally, she was the official composer and musical director of the Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Windsor in May 2022. In 2025, Debbie was Guest of Honor at the 25th World Soundtrack Awards, and an album of some of her landmark work was recorded by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra specially for the event. This album—Debbie Wiseman: Music for Film and Television—achieved the top position on the UK Specialist Classical Chart and was nominated for a 2025 International Film Music Critics Association award.

The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) is one of the longest‑established and most resourceful professional freelance orchestras active in Britain today. Formed during the turbulent years of the Second World War, the NSO’s musicians were young, creative, indomitable and enthusiastic. They needed to be; throughout this period, the orchestra regularly traversed the country, visiting blitzed towns and cities to give morale‑boosting concerts, despite the many obstacles this entailed. That dynamic performing tradition has stood the test of time, and today, the NSO boasts a hugely impressive recorded legacy and continues its busy schedule of live concert performances. The orchestra is widely admired for its versatility and its ability to communicate, connecting with audiences, both new and old, with consistent commitment and passion. In 2022, the NSO was chosen to perform for Queen Elizabeth II in one of her final public appearances at the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Windsor Castle, watched by an audience of millions. 

The orchestra has recently found renewed energy and direction under the leadership of its Managing Director, Justin Pearson, who is also its principal cellist. Under its Principal Associate Conductor, Rimma Sushanskaya, the NSO performed and recorded a complete cycle of the Beethoven Symphonies, the first ever to be undertaken by a female conductor. A unique highlight of this series was an acclaimed performance of Beethoven’s Choral Symphony, given at London’s Cadogan Hall on May 7, 2024, marking two hundred years, to the very day, since the work was premiered in Vienna under the composer’s direction. A series of concerts entitled Sounds Symphonic will be performed at Cadogan Hall in 2026. 

The Locrian Chorus, composed entirely of professional voices, was initially formed in 1990 to perform with the Locrian Ensemble of London for concerts at St. Martin‑in‑the‑Fields. Performances of works such as Mozart’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria and highly memorable concerts of music at Christmas brought the choir critical attention. The Locrian Chorus has subsequently established a reputation in its own right for recordings and concerts of the very highest level. 

The choir’s director Jonathan Darbourne, both a music arranger and performer, was a choral scholar in the choir of Magdalen College, Oxford. Jonathan went on to further vocal study at the Schola Cantorum, Basel and the Barock Vokal program in Mainz, as well as an ensemble directing course with William Christie and members of Les Arts Florissants. An experienced choral conductor, he is chorus master for the National Symphony Orchestra and has led projects ranging from the Voces8 Scholars to choir scenes in a number of Netflix productions, including The Crown and Bridgerton. 

British soprano Grace Davidson is known for her ethereal, pure and instrumental vocal sound, specializing in the performance and recording of historically informed Baroque repertoire. Grace has performed with many of the world’s leading Baroque ensembles, including Freiburg Baroque, The Sixteen, Tenebrae and the Monteverdi Choir in prestigious venues worldwide. Her film work includes collaborations with Howard Shore and Harry Gregson-Williams, among many others. She can be heard as a featured soloist on Max Richter’s Oscar-nominated soundtrack to the film Hamnet.  

Grace has also enjoyed a regular musical partnership with Debbie Wiseman. She is the vocalist on Jack Frost, written by Wiseman with words and lyrics by Alan Titchmarsh, and together with the writers and the Philharmonic Orchestra premiered a suite from the album at Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2024. More recently, Grace is delighted to be featured on Wiseman’s latest single, Always There, with words by Welsh poet Grahame Davies, released on Decca Records to commemorate the centennial of the birth of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
