With a career spanning more than 20 years in the museum sector, Camilla Nichol currently serves as the chief executive of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust, a nonprofit working to conserve historic sites in Antarctica and champion human endeavors in the southernmost continent.
Camilla attained degrees in geology and museum studies at the Universities of Edinburgh and Leicester respectively; she holds an AMA from the Museums Association, is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and is a trustee of the Burton Constable Foundation and chair of the Cromwell Museum Trust. Previously head of collections for Leeds Museums and Galleries, Camilla led the science team at York Museums Trust as keeper of geology. She was also fortunate to curate the Antarctic rock collections while she was at the Hunterian Museum at Glasgow University.
