Acclaimed wine expert Bartholomew Broadbent is the founder and CEO of Broadbent Selections, Inc., consistently ranked in the top echelon of American fine wine importers. He followed in the footsteps of his late father, the prolific wine author and auctioneer Michael Broadbent, MW, and even apprenticed under him. Bartholomew has been touted on numerous occasions by prestigious publications such as Decanter and Wine & Spirits for his influence in the US wine industry. His company has also been nominated two times—most recently in 2019—for Importer of the Year in Wine Enthusiast’s annual Wine Star Awards. Moreover, for his expertise, Bartholomew has been invited to speak on a regular basis at all major wine festivals; serve as the reserve tasting director at Food & Wine’s Classic in Aspen for more than two decades; and judge the Decanter World Wine Awards and the Virginia Governor’s Cup.
