Ingunn Ek grew up in the windy island landscapes along the western coast of Norway and moved to Bergen at the age of 21. She studied musicology, English language and literature, and business economics, all while working in event management. Her greatest passion in life has been creating exciting and innovative events—and she has made that passion a reality through Kulturoperatørene AS. In 2007, she cofounded the Bergen-based event company and built a diverse client base that now also includes Viking. Ingunn continues to work as the company’s project manager alongside her business partner and husband, Øyvind Storheim.

Øyvind Storheim was born on an island off the coast of Bergen, but eventually made the city his adopted home. He is currently the managing partner and general manager of Kulturoperatørene AS, to which he brings nearly three decades of experience in event and TV production. Øyvind is recognized both for his creative, innovative spirit and his technical, solutions-oriented approach to event planning. He is also a certified electrician and pyrotechnician.
