Based in Penafiel, in the heart of Portugal’s verdant wine country, Ildefonso has been a driving force behind Aveleda’s research, product development and long-term strategic vision for more than a decade. His leadership combines a passion for innovation with a deep respect for heritage, sustainability and authenticity—values that have shaped Aveleda’s success both nationally and internationally. 

With a strong background in economics and trend analysis, Ildefonso steers the company’s innovation roadmap, oversees the development of new products and manages market data and consumer insights. His work helps position Aveleda at the forefront of modern Portuguese winemaking while maintaining the family-run estate’s tradition of excellence that dates back to 1870.
