Charlotte Connelly
As Museum Curator at The Polar Museum, Charlotte Connelly makes sure that the collections and the research carried out at the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge are shared in exciting and innovative ways with a range of audiences, through displays, events, digital resources and in-person events. She manages the museum's team of collections, outreach and communications staff and oversees the work of approximately 50 volunteers. Since September 2019, Charlotte has been Chair of the Cambridge Museums Steering Group, and in that role, she helps shape strategy for nine organizations that together welcome over 1.3 million visitors and support over 15,000 research visits and inquiries each year.
Charlotte was the recipient of the 2019 Cambridge-Leibniz Museum and Collection Fellowship. She received her MSc in museum studies from the University of Leicester and is currently pursuing her PhD in history and philosophy of science at the University of Cambridge.
