Destination Performers celebrates the music and performance traditions that give destinations their distinctive cultural rhythm. Meet talented artists from around the world as they share everything from Italian opera and Argentine tango to Portuguese fado, Spanish guitar, Irish folk music and Norwegian fiddle traditions. Through performances and conversations, each episode explores the history and meaning behind these art forms and introduces the people keeping them alive today. Together, the series demonstrates how music can preserve identity, connect communities and communicate across languages, cultures and geographical borders.
