William Murray
As a child, William Murray has always loved plants. This year he worked with Viking, designing his first garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
William began his career working as an events designer, creating window displays for shops such as Selfridges and props for movies. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he found he had a lot more time on his hands to spend in the garden and took on an RHS Level 2 Qualification in Horticulture. This helped William realize that gardening was his true passion. He took on a new role as a horticulturalist, often working on rooftop gardens around London, and set up his own gardening business, It Will Grow.
Aware that many people do not have a lot of outdoor space, William’s mission is to help them make the most of city gardens, courtyards, balconies and even small window boxes and pots. It Will Grow has a strong emphasis on sustainability. William gardens organically, without the use of pesticides or weedkillers, and he tries to walk or bike to his clients to reduce his carbon footprint.
