Tracy Borman, PhD
Dr. Tracy Borman is an author, Tudor historian, broadcaster and the joint chief curator at Historic Royal Palaces. Tracy has written a number of historical biographies, including Henry VIII and the Men who Made Him: The Secret History Behind the Tudor Throne, Elizabeth’s Women: the Hidden Story of the Virgin Queen and Thomas Cromwell: The Untold Story of Henry VIII’s Most Faithful Servant. She has also written a fiction trilogy, The King’s Witch, based in the court of James I, and her latest nonfiction book is Anne Boleyn & Elizabeth I: The Mother and Daughter Who Changed History.
As joint chief curator of Historic Royal Palaces, Dr. Borman shares the stories of its many illustrious properties with millions of visitors and supporters each year. She is also chief executive of the Heritage Education Trust and chancellor of Bishop Grosseteste University in her native Lincoln, England. She has presented several history programs for both Britain’s Channel 5 and the Smithsonian Channel, including The Fall of Anne Boleyn, Inside the Tower of London and Henry VIII and the King’s Men. She is a regular contributor to BBC History Magazine and gives lectures across England and beyond.
