Steve Azar is an award-winning American singer-songwriter, recording artist, music producer, author, radio host, philanthropist and tourism ambassador from Greenville, Mississippi. Widely recognized for creating the musical genre he calls "Delta Soul," his sound blends country, blues, folk and rock 'n' roll, while celebrating the culture, history and people of the Mississippi Delta.  

Steve rose to national prominence with his 2001 album Waitin' On Joe, featuring the hit single "I Don't Have To Be Me ('til Monday)." Throughout his career he has released multiple studio albums, achieved nine Billboard Hot Country Songs chart entries and written songs recorded by artists including Reba McEntire, Danny Gokey and Cedric Burnside.  

Beyond music, Steve has become one of Mississippi's most prominent cultural ambassadors. In 2017 he was appointed Music & Culture Ambassador of Mississippi, a role through which he promotes the state's tourism, economy, heritage and music traditions. He is also a successful entrepreneur, having founded Dang/Ride Records, co-founded the Mighty Mississippi Music Festival and established All Access Azar, a music consulting company.  

A passionate philanthropist, Steve and his wife Gwen founded the Steve Azar St. Cecilia Foundation, which has generated millions of dollars for charitable causes throughout Mississippi and beyond.   

Today, Steve remains one of Mississippi's most recognizable cultural figures, continuing to perform, write, produce, mentor and promote the Mississippi Delta through music, storytelling and tourism initiatives.
