Mie Mustad has worked in the Conservation Department of the Munch Museum since 2009. Prior to her employment at the Munch Museum, she acquired five years of work experience in paper and sculpture conservation and received her master’s degree in painting conservation at the University of Oslo. She also has a background in arts, having earned a BA (Hons) from the Surrey Institute of Art & Design and a national diploma from LdM Florence. Her focus at the Munch Museum has been preventive conservation, as well as the research and treatment of the Edvard Munch collection. From August 2020, she will work at KORO for half a year, focusing on contemporary Norwegian art in all media, before returning to the new Munch Museum in Bjørvika.
