Icelandic native Margrét Sigurjónsdóttir is a professional tour guide and currently works as a manager specializing in academic and performance groups with Iceland Travel—the leading travel agency, tour operator and destination management company in Iceland. In 1993, she received her guide certification from the Icelandic Tourist Guide School for German-speaking tourists. She advanced her education in the Germanic languages, linguistics and literature with a BA (1995) from the University of Iceland, followed by a German teacher’s training course (1996) and master’s degree (2010) in marketing and international business from the same university. With her passion for history, geology and literature, plus more than two decades of experience in Icelandic tourism, Margrét is the perfect host to showcase the natural wonders of this remote landscape.
