Liam Dugan is a heritage professional and tour guide with a strong focus on audience engagement and cultural storytelling. Currently working aboard The Royal Yacht Britannia, he delivers dynamic and accessible tours to thousands of visitors each year, bringing Britain’s royal and maritime history to life for diverse audiences.
With a First-Class Honours degree in History and Art History from The Open University, Liam has developed a deep understanding of cultural interpretation, material history and visual literacy. His academic background underpins his ability to communicate complex historical narratives in an engaging and approachable way.
Before transitioning into the heritage sector, Liam built a career in interior design and client-facing roles, developing strong skills in presentation, communication and visitor experience. His work across museums, galleries and design environments reflects a consistent passion for creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where people feel inspired and connected.
He is particularly interested in progressing within the museum and heritage sector, with a focus on Learning & Engagement and Visitor Experience Management.
