Lexie Cataldo
Los Angeles-based photographer Lexie Cataldo caught the travel bug as a young person while visiting countries across Asia. For the next 18 years, she made Japan her home and honed her photography skills. She still enjoys capturing images of all sorts but is particularly drawn to photographing animals.
Lexie’s deep love of animals prompted her to join on-the-ground rescue efforts in disaster zones in 2011, including rescuing animals from the Fukushima radiation zone after the Japanese tsunami and flooded communities in Bangkok, Thailand. She remains active with wildlife rescues and pet adoption groups in Los Angeles. Through her photography, Lexie brings awareness to the plight of shelter animals, telling their stories and ultimately helping them find forever homes.
