Kate Mosse
Kate Mosse CBE FRSL is an award-winning novelist, playwright, interviewer and non-fiction writer. She is the author of ten novels and short-story collections, with her books translated into thirty-eight languages and published in more than forty countries. Her most recent works include the new historical adventure novel, The Map of Bones, and the multimillion-selling Languedoc Trilogy and The Joubert Family Chronicles. Ms. Mosse’s highly acclaimed non-fiction includes An Extra Pair of Hands and Warrior Queens & Quiet Revolutionaries, which inspired her one-woman theater show. In 2024, she will launch a podcast called The Matilda Effect.
Beyond her writing, Ms. Mosse is co-founder and director of the Women’s Prize for Fiction and the Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction, the world’s largest annual literary awards celebrating female authors. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and a visiting professor of Contemporary Fiction and Creative Writing at the University of Chichester. She is also president of the Festival of Chichester, a month-long arts, music and culture event, and hosts the pre-show interview series from the venue’s theater.
