Raised in a small town in Upper Austria, Julia Hattinger fell in love with travel and languages during long car trips all over Europe with her family. Julia studied Romance languages and literature at the University of Salzburg, wrote her thesis in Madrid, worked as a bicycle guide in Italy and taught German in Kyrgyzstan. Her extensive travels have taken her from Indian ashrams, where she practiced yoga, to a cargo boat on the Amazon River. 

Julia loves books, photography, cats and sharing stories and a laugh with her guests.
