Dr. Juan R. Garcia, PhD, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and DePaul University, is a professor of history and Mexican American studies at the University of Arizona, with his expertise encompassing US history from precontact through Reconstruction and the 20th century. His numerous publications include books and scholarly essays on US and Mexican American history.
