Joshua Powell

Joshua Powell is a British conservation biologist with a diverse range of interests relating to the conservation of wildlife and wild places. He has presented three #WWFVoices series for WWF International and was a Churchill Fellow to the South Pacific on island conservation, later serving as a policy advisor with the UK government. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently a PhD candidate at the Zoological Society of London and UCL, where his doctoral research focuses on the conservation of threatened carnivores in Northeast Asia, particularly the Amur tiger. In 2021, he was named one of the Explorers Club 50: Fifty People Changing the World.
