John Maclean, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, is an experienced science communicator in astronomy and astrophysics, as well as an award-winning astrophotographer. Specializing in asteroids and cometary science, he is an OSIRIS-REx mission ambassador, a NEOShield-2 project agent, and a UK Meteor Network researcher and member. For 25 years, he also served in the Royal Air Force, working on space communications.
