Heather Nova

Singer-Songwriter and Poet
Bermuda

To set the stage for Bermudan singer-songwriter Heather Nova, one considers the set of the wind that has directed the course of her 15-year musical career releasing ten albums to date and opening for such artists as Van Morrison and Neil Young. Heather grew up on the sailboat Moon making passage through the open waters of the Atlantic and Caribbean throughout the 1970s and 1980s. She moved to the United States to study film at the Rhode Island School of Design, but discovered her passion for songwriting while producing songs for her films. In 1994, her breakout album Oyster featured the track “Throwing Fire at the Sun,” which was used on an episode of Baywatch. Over the years she has written more than 120 songs, and she looks forward to returning to tour in Europe in October 2021.
