As an avian care specialist at Alaska Raptor Center, Hannah Blanke is responsible for the health of rescued birds—including bald eagles, golden eagles and snowy owls—and presenting them to the public. Hannah grew up in Wisconsin and received their degree in wildlife ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating, Hannah worked in several states and Mexico, building upon their environmental education and animal care skills. One of Hannah’s favorite parts of her job working with animals is making enrichment pieces to keep them mentally engaged and happy.
