Freddy Paske
Freddy Paske is an award-winning figurative artist focusing on the relationship between what is shown and what is seen. By reconstructing his subjects using deliberately loose gestures, pigments and textures, Freddy engages the mind in a playful interpretation of the familiar.
Freddy’s work has been featured in solo shows in prestigious galleries across London and in the US at the Knoxville Museum of Art in Tennessee. His greatest career accomplishment was serving as the last ever portraitist-in-residence for Queen Elizabeth II at her Platinum Jubilee and then again at her funeral in 2022. Before her death, she personally approved Freddy for the honorary role, which likely reflected their shared love of horses and the military.
Beyond his artwork, Freddy is also an Afghanistan War veteran.
