Fiona Davison completed her bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Oxford in 1986. After working in the museum sector for more than 15 years, Fiona was able to combine her passions for history and flora in 2012 when she joined the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) as the head of libraries and exhibitions. She is a regular host on the Gardening with the RHS podcast and has written numerous articles and features on the history of gardens. In 2019, she published her first book—The Hidden Horticulturists—about the careers of the first gardeners trained by the RHS during the 1820s, including the young Joseph Paxton who would go on to become one of Britain’s best-known garden architects.
