Elle Armon-Jones
Elle Armon-Jones is a dynamic entrepreneur and passionate advocate for New Zealand’s rich food and wine culture. Originally from the United Kingdom, Elle first visited New Zealand at the age of 23 and quickly fell in love with the country’s produce, people and “can-do” Kiwi attitude. Combining her enthusiasm for hospitality, storytelling and culinary discovery, she founded The Big Foody, a company that curates immersive food tours and experiences celebrating regional flavors and local producers throughout Aotearoa.
Elle’s warm personality and humor have made her a regular guest on international travel programs promoting New Zealand’s gastronomy. She is also a sought-after speaker at tourism and hospitality events, known for her insight into sustainable food travel. In 2016, she and her partner Barry expanded their ventures by acquiring The Vineyard Cottages in Waimauku—a boutique retreat of seven luxury cottages surrounded by Auckland’s vineyards, complete with an event center and cellar-door experiences.
Through her work, Elle continues to champion the country’s culinary identity and connect travelers to authentic local tastes, ensuring every experience reflects the true spirit of New Zealand.
