Debbie Hall
Debbie Hall is an author, a lover of maps and a senior library assistant at the Bodleian Map Room. As a custodian of the Map Room, she catalogues maps, helps with interpretations of the collections for a wider audience through the Map Room’s blog and exhibitions, as well as gives lectures to the general public. Prior to joining the Bodleian Map Room in early 2007, Debbie worked in the Map Room of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) and the British Library Map Library. In 2015, she edited and partly wrote the book Treasures from the Map Room, with contributions from other Bodleian staff and researchers. Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in geography (St Hugh’s College, University of Oxford) and a master’s degree in library studies (University College London).
