Born in Schüttorf in the German county of Bentheim, Art Historian Daniel Uchtmann has been a research associate in the field of art education at the Kunsthistorisches Museum (or Museum of Fine Arts) in Vienna since 2000. He has authored several publications on art history, in particular on cultural history (State Prize 2015), and made numerous contributions to exhibition catalogues and children’s books. He has also curated a number of exhibitions and currently teaches art history—specializing in Venetian and Flemish paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries—for adult and youth classes.
