Claire Ballantyne is the Visitor Center Supervisor at Halen Môn–The Anglesey Sea Salt Company, one of Wales’s most celebrated artisan producers. Originally from the Scottish island of Islay, Claire grew up surrounded by sea air and coastal traditions, which inspired her lifelong appreciation for natural ingredients and sustainable island living. After relocating to Anglesey, she joined the Halen Môn team, where she welcomes guests to the Visitor Center, leads educational tours and shares insights into the company’s craft of harvesting pure, mineral-rich sea salt from the Menai Strait. Known for her warm hospitality and deep knowledge of local food culture, Claire plays a key role in connecting visitors with the story and heritage behind one of Wales’s finest culinary exports.
