With 20 years of international winemaking experience, Gusbourne’s chief winemaker and CEO Charlie Holland honed his skills working in some of the best wine producing regions around the world, including stints in Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the United States.

A graduate of Plumpton College, East Sussex, where he attained a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology, Charlie went on to work with many styles of wine across the world, from full-bodied reds in Napa Valley to German Rieslings and sweet wines in Minervois.

In 2009, excited by the burgeoning English sparkling wine industry, Charlie returned to the UK, working as winemaker for four years at Ridgeview. Following this, Charlie joined Gusbourne in 2013 as head winemaker where he has gone on to produce some of the most celebrated British wines.
