Ash Bhardwaj
London-based Ash Bhardwaj is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and filmmaker, whose work explores the intersection of travel, current affairs and human behavior. He has reported worldwide for the BBC, Daily Telegraph, Sunday Times and Condé Nast Traveller. He currently co-hosts the First Mile podcast, which won the British Guild of Travel Writers’ Best Broadcast Programme of the Year.
Mr. Bhardwaj’s first book, Why We Travel, seeks to help us understand our motivations and how they impact our everyday lives. They are not just reasons to travel—they are reasons to live.
Mr. Bhardwaj is a lecturer in travel journalism at City, University of London. Before travel writing, he was a ski instructor and science teacher. He is also an officer in the British Army Reserve.
