Alice Loxton
Alice Loxton, affectionately known as “History Alice,” is a passionate historian dedicated to making history accessible to mainstream audiences. Represented by Hardman and Swainson for her writing, Alice inspires and educates through her multifaceted approach to history. Specifically, she enjoys leveraging social media platforms—including TikTok and Instagram—to share her deep historical insights and reach a broad audience with her engaging content.
Alice’s debut nonfiction history book, UPROAR!, released in March 2023, received widespread acclaim and was longlisted for Blackwell’s Book of the Year. The book was reviewed by prestigious publications such as The Times, The New Statesman and the London Review of Books. Her second book, Eighteen, set to be published by Pan Macmillan in August 2024, delves into Britain’s Georgian era through the lives of eighteen notable figures—with a special focus on what they were doing at the young age of eighteen. Alice also regularly writes for The Telegraph, The Times and The Spectator, among others.
In addition to her writing, Alice is a sought-after speaker and panelist, participating in events with 10 Downing Street, The National Archives and the Oxford Literary Festival.
