Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi

Winemaker | Bindi Sergardi
Italy

Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi carries on the traditions of 22 generations before her as the CEO of Bindi Sergardi, famed for its fine Tuscan wines. Her family’s Sienese roots and wine-making heritage stretch all the way back to 1349. And upon attaining her master’s degree (cum laude) in economy and commerce from the University of Florence, Alessandra knew she wanted to keep this legacy alive. So, she observed the unwritten rule requiring a minimum of three years of experience elsewhere and worked in sales and marketing at the Antinori nel Chianti Classico winery in Florence. In 2005, she returned to Siena and began managing the wine sector of her family’s estates as director general. At that time, she also joined the local Committee for Female Entrepreneurship. And since 2015, she has served on the board of directors of the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium, which her great-grandfather helped found in 1924.
