Adrian Bridge
Adrian Bridge is an internationally respected business leader, wine industry innovator, hotelier and cultural entrepreneur. Best known as CEO of Taylor’s, Croft and Fonseca—three of the most storied Port wine houses in Portugal—he has played a transformative role in shaping the modern global perception of Port. Under his leadership, these heritage brands have expanded their reach, strengthened sustainable viticulture initiatives and continued to champion excellence in Douro Valley winemaking.
Beyond the wine world, Adrian is the visionary behind WOW Porto (World of Wine)—a vast cultural district in Vila Nova de Gaia featuring multiple museums, exhibitions, restaurants, a wine school, temporary galleries, retail spaces and educational experiences. WOW has become one of Portugal’s most significant cultural developments of the last decade, drawing visitors from around the world and contributing to Porto’s rise as a major destination for gastronomy, culture and heritage.
Adrian’s work is often described as a blend of entrepreneurial insight, deep respect for tradition and forward-thinking innovation. He is also known for his remarkable personal collection of glassware—believed to be one of the most comprehensive in existence—which forms the foundation of The Bridge Collection Museum at WOW.
Previously an officer in the British Army, Adrian brings discipline, clarity and a global perspective to every project he undertakes. His leadership extends into sustainability, hospitality and tourism development, and he remains one of the most influential figures in contemporary wine culture.
