Chocolate Mousse Pots

Dessert Serves Serves 2 large or 4 small people Ireland

1 egg white

2¾fl oz/ 80ml cream 

2½oz/ 70g good quality chocolate drops 

1 tbsp fine instant coffee

1 egg yolk 

2 tbsp Irish cream liqueur 


Raspberries to decorate 

Chocolate hearts to decorate 

Cream to decorate 

Sprigs of sweet geranium to decorate


You will need pretty serving glasses 



Step 1

Whisk the egg white until stiff peak.

Step 2

Warm the cream over a medium heat. 

Step 3

Add the chocolate drops and coffee and take off the heat. 

Step 4

Add the egg yolk, Irish cream liqueur and mix well.

Step 5

Using a spatula lightly fold the egg white into the chocolate until just combined.

Step 6

Spoon into glasses and place into the fridge overnight to set. 

Step 7

When ready to serve, decorate with cream, raspberries, chocolate hearts and sprigs of sweet geranium.
